Erna has worked in the Financial Services and Technology sectors for over twenty-five years, holding a variety of international finance, tax and risk roles. Erna has been a member of the BTC since 2017 and joined the committee in 2020.

Indrani has worked in the tax sector for 24 years primarily in the UK Banking sector as inhouse tax specialist dealing with a variety of taxes. She has been a long-time member of the BTC, joining the committee in 2020 and becoming the BTC Treasurer in 2021.

David has worked in Tax for most of his career with around 20 years experience in banking tax starting out in corporation tax and now specialising in VAT.

Liz has worked in the banking tax sector for over 25 years, both in practice and in-house. Having been a member of the BTC since 2007, Liz joined the BTC committee as Secretary in 2017, and was President between 2023-2025.

Carine Beidas is an EMEA Tax Managing Director with Royal Bank of Canada where she has worked since 2013, in charge of tax advice and counsel including risk management support and oversight to various business units.Her career in tax has spanned the entire range of financial services, in particular investment management, insurance (life and general), banking and fiduciary services with reference to the international corporate tax affairs of the providers as well as the tax-efficiency and risk management of their products.

Jasmine Belcher is an indirect tax specialist with over 10 years experience, with the last 6 of those spent advising the financial services sector. She currently works at Macquarie Group, covering the EMEA region. Jasmine joined the BTC committee in 2023.

Matt has worked in the Financial Services sector for over 20 years, specialising in VAT during that time. Matt worked in practice between 2002 and 2015 and has worked in house since. Matt joined the BTC Committee in 2024, having previously chaired the Investment Association VAT Committee. Matt is also a member of the UK Finance and AFME VAT Committees, and has previously presented on Financial Services VAT in numerous forums.

William is a tax specialist whose career spans both practice and corporate in-house roles, with a primary focus on financial services. Initially specialising in direct tax, William has broadened his scope to encompass a variety of tax areas. A long-standing member of the BTC, William joined the committee in 2025.

Alex joined the BTC Committee in 2025 and has over 16 years of experience in financial services, spanning both advisory and in-house roles. Currently working at an Investment Bank, Alex focuses on UK and US tax matters, including transfer pricing and cross-border structuring.
